What is the CVMA?
The Conversion Van Marketing Association, or CVMA for short, is an exclusive partnership between General Motors and 23 of the nation's top conversion van manufacturers. Exclusive partnership means members of the CVMA are the only manufacturers authorized by GM to build Chevrolet or GMC Conversion Vans. Learn more about the CVMA and our 23 members.
What exactly is a conversion van?
GM Conversion Vans start out simply as top-ranked vans* from Chevrolet and GMC. These vans are then fully customized, inside and out, according to your specifications—this is where the "conversion" comes in—to create a vehicle that can carry up to nine passengers in total comfort. For more information, including practical uses for GM Conversion Vans, please view our Why a Conversion Van section.

Where and how can I purchase a GM Conversion Van?
There are actually two ways to purchase a GM Conversion Van:
1. Visit a Chevrolet or GMC dealer
2. Go see a manufacturer who is a Conversion Van Marketing Association (CVMA) member
Get more info about these two convenient ways to purchase by viewing our How to Buy section.
Do GM Conversion Vans come with warranties?
Most new GM Conversion Vans come with the same base 36-month/36,000-mile warranty* as every other GM vehicle. Which means if you experience a problem with your conversion van, all you have to do is bring it back to your dealer to be fixed. You are completely covered on any and all issues on your conversion van that are under warranty. In some instances, you may be asked by your dealer to contact the manufacturer of your conversion van directly for assistance with customized features.

*Warranty is for GM vehicles registered in the USA. See your Chevrolet or GMC dealer for terms and conditions.
Where can I locate additional parts and accesories for my GM Conversion Van?
A good place to start is with your local dealer. In addition to helping you find standard parts and accessories, they can also deal directly with manufacturers for the more customized features you need. (Of course, a CVMA manufacturer can also work with you directly, if more convenient for you to do so.)
How much should I expect to pay for a GM Conversion Van?
Obviously, prices vary based on the extensive options and configurations you choose. But, you can expect to pay anywhere from $29,000 to $65,000.

The best way to obtain accurate pricing and information on a GM Conversion Van is to work with your local GM Conversion Van dealer.

You also have the option of contacting a CVMA member. They are the only manufacturers authorized by GM to build GMC and Chevrolet Conversion Vans.
Where can I rent a conversion van?
