In 1980, Steve Kesler was a schoolteacher in northern Indiana looking for something to occupy his time during the summer months. Then, a friend made an offhand remark that changed his life. The friend mentioned that there was a growing need for professionals to design interiors for vans, and that the right person could really succeed in this business. Kesler was intrigued, so he talked his dad into joining him in this business venture. Today, Explorer Vans is one of the country's leading van converters. Located on 30 acres in Warsaw, Indiana, Explorer boasts 150,000 square feet of factory space and has 150 employees. And each of those employees is focused on one simple message—that customer satisfaction is the bottom line. Explorer Vans can be found throughout the contiguous 48 states.
